About this repair

The Pixel Fold's 7.6" 120Hz inner foldable OLED is a fragile flexible panel laminated under a factory screen protector that must never be peeled off, so we handle crease-line failures, dead touch along the fold, and inner-panel cracks with that protector intact. We also repair the 5.8" Gorilla Glass Victus outer cover display, realign the multi-pivot fluid-friction hinge after impacts, and replace the Tensor G2 board's aging dual-cell battery. Because the Fold carries an IPX8 rating, every opening is resealed with fresh frame adhesive so water resistance is restored.

My Pixel Fold's inner screen protector is lifting at the crease — can you fix it?

Yes. The Fold ships with a factory-applied film bonded to the flexible 7.6" inner OLED; we never peel the original off mid-life because the panel underneath is delicate, but we can replace a lifting or bubbling inner protector and inspect the crease for early touch loss before it spreads.

The fold line has a flickering or dead vertical strip — is that repairable?

That strip usually means the flexible inner OLED is failing along the hinge fold, the most common Pixel Fold fault. It needs a full inner-panel replacement rather than a glass-only fix, since the foldable OLED is laminated as one assembly.

Will my Pixel Fold still be water resistant after repair?

Yes — the Fold is rated IPX8, and any time we open the hinge or chassis we replace the perimeter adhesive seals so the original dust and water resistance is reinstated before it leaves the bench.
