The Pixel 6a packs a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED locked at 60Hz behind Gorilla Glass 3, and because that panel is laser-laminated we swap the whole glass-and-OLED unit so the under-display optical fingerprint reader keeps working. Its 4410mAh battery is glued down with pull-tabs and the first-gen Google Tensor chip runs warm, so we reseat the thermal pads and re-adhere the IP67 gasket on reassembly. We also re-enroll and recalibrate the notoriously slow 6a in-screen fingerprint sensor after any display swap.

Why is my Pixel 6a fingerprint scanner so slow after a screen replacement?

The 6a uses an optical under-display reader bonded to the OLED, so after a panel swap we re-enroll and recalibrate it; the 6a's sensor was always slower than later Pixels, but a proper OEM-grade panel restores its normal speed.

Can you fix a Pixel 6a that gets hot and drains fast?

That is usually the glued 4410mAh battery aging next to the warm first-gen Google Tensor chip, so we fit a fresh cell and reseat the thermal pads, which curbs the heat-and-drain cycle the 6a is prone to.

The 6a ships IP67, and we re-apply its perimeter adhesive gasket during reassembly so your phone keeps splash and dust resistance, though no repaired Pixel is guaranteed fully submersible afterward.
