About this repair

The Pixel 4a's 5.81-inch flat OLED (2340x1080, ~443 ppi, 60Hz) is laminated straight onto a polycarbonate unibody, so we use controlled heat to lift the panel without cracking the plastic frame around its top-left hole-punch selfie camera. Its 3140mAh cell is anchored with adhesive pull-tabs, and the rear capacitive fingerprint reader rides its own flex that we transfer during reassembly. We also rebuild the 4a's USB-C charge flex and protect the retained 3.5mm headphone jack, two frequent wear points on this Snapdragon 730G handset.

Can you replace just the cracked glass on my Pixel 4a, or the whole screen?

The Pixel 4a fuses its glass, digitizer and OLED into one laminated 5.81-inch panel, so the glass cannot be split off reliably. We swap the full OLED assembly to restore the 2340x1080 image and touch.

Will my rear fingerprint sensor still unlock after a Pixel 4a screen repair?

Yes. The 4a's fingerprint reader is a separate capacitive sensor on the back, not under the display, so we move it across intact and your enrolled prints keep working.

My Pixel 4a will not charge or keeps disconnecting, is that the port?

Usually yes. The 4a's USB-C connector sits on a small charge flex that lint and wear kill over time; we clean or replace that flex, and can sort the nearby 3.5mm headphone jack if audio also cuts out.
